After graduating from the Italian Science and Mathematics High School, Luka began his higher education. He completed his graduate studies in international trade at the Faculty of Economics in Rijeka, and in 2014 he graduated from the Maritime Faculty in Rijeka, majoring in marine engineering and energetics.

Luka has been employed at the Viktor Lenac Shipyard since 2009. He first worked in the Project Management Department as Project Manager Assistant. He than moved to the Marketing and Sales Department and became a Key Account Manager covering the commercial and technical aspects of ship repair and conversion projects. After two years as Head of Estimation and Sales, as well as Deputy Director of Marketing and Sales, in 2019 he assumed the position of Corporate Head of Sales of Palumbo Group and becomes responsible for sales activities of four shipyards in the Group. During his term of office as a Member of the Management Board, which commenced in March 2024, he was appointed President of the Management Board on 3 April 2026 and has since been serving as the head of the Company.

Luka completed several specialist courses for maritime security, leadership, business solutions and contract negotiation at ministries and the international business school IEDC in Bled. He also has a Boat Leader’s License Category C.

With strong skills in leading and inspiring teams and proven experience in successful business management and business development as well as creating and maintaining long-term strong relationships with international clients, Luka is dedicated and committed, open to new challenges, which he approaches calmly and logically.

Eager for knowledge, he is also interested in solar energy and is the owner of an electricity generation business.

His mother tongues are Croatian and Italian, he speaks English fluently and has basic knowledge of French.
